The Accounts Division has responsibility for overall finance control through formulating and implementing the financial plan of the Ministry.
Functions
- Preparing budget estimates and disbursing budgetary allocation.
- Render financial reports monthly, quarter and periodically as specified relevant authorities.
- Prepare and render annual Appropriation Accounts and Other Accounts – Advance Account, Imprest Account, Deposit Accounts, etc. in terms of FR and Treasury circulars.
- Supervision and Co-ordination of Financial Management and Asset Management of the Institution, coming under the Ministry.
- Account of receipt and disbursement of foreign aids in terms of the agreement.
- Monitoring and Answering audit queries of the Ministry.
- Coordinate in reporting to COPA and COPE.
